Anchoring
Heights above 3000mm must be anchored to the ground with appropriate anchors. Shorter units are recommended to be anchored but it isn't required.
Tip: Mesh decks suit cool rooms and let dust and light through; particle board is the all-rounder; galvanised panels suit grocery and wet environments. Tell us what you're storing and we'll match the deck.

FAQs

Common questions

What is longspan shelving best for?
It's the flexible mid-range option for hand-loaded storage, cartons, totes, parts and bulky items that don't need a forklift. Ideal for workshops, storerooms, stockrooms and manufacturing, where you want strong, accessible shelving without the cost of full pallet racking.
How much weight can each level hold?
It depends on beam length: a 900mm beam pair holds up to 890kg, scaling down to 300kg at 2400mm. Shorter beams carry more. We'll match beam length and shelf type to your load.
What shelf surfaces are available?
Particle board (general purpose), mesh deck (cool rooms, lets light/dust through) and steel galvanised panels (grocery and wet areas). Levels adjust in 50mm increments.
Does it need to be anchored?
Units over 3000mm high must be anchored to the floor with appropriate anchors. Anything shorter is recommended to be anchored but isn't required.
Can I extend it later?
Yes, longspan uses first-bay and add-on-bay configurations, so you can extend an existing run by sharing frames between bays. It's also compatible with drawers, tubs and cable rack accessories.
