Smart storage for long & bulky items

Cantilever racking is the ideal solution for storing long, heavy, awkwardly shaped or oversized materials in industrial environments.

Engineered in Australia and designed to meet FEM 10.2.09 standards, our cantilever systems are built for strength, flexibility and performance, indoors or outdoors, even in cyclone-rated regions. The open-front design improves workflow by letting forklifts and staff load and unload long materials without obstruction from traditional upright frames.

Finishes & environments

Two finishes, built for where you work

Indoor

Powder Coated

Ideal for warehouses and workshops. High-visibility arms and clearly distinguished uprights improve safety on the floor.

  • High-visibility orange arms
  • Pre-galvanised bracing
  • Clean, professional finish for indoor sites
Outdoor / Corrosive

Hot-Dipped Galvanised (HDG)

Best for outdoor or corrosive environments, including coastal and cyclone-prone regions. Superior corrosion resistance over the long term.

  • Available in C305 and select C200 sizes
  • Withstands harsh external weathering
  • Wind & seismic tested for the install location

From lighter-duty industrial storage to medium and heavy-duty loads. We'll spec the right configuration for your products and your space.

Light – Medium duty

C200 System

A robust, versatile solution for lighter-duty applications. 100mm hole centres give flexible arm positioning for a wide range of loads.

Universal arm & base end-stop spigots, prevent pipes, tubes and round materials from rolling or sliding off.

Medium – Heavy duty

C305 System

Engineered for medium to heavy-duty storage. A tighter 76.2mm hole centre delivers increased strength and finer arm adjustment.

Universal arm & base end-stop spigots, essential for safe storage of round or unstable materials.

Note: C200 and C305 components are not interchangeable due to differences in size and hole spacing. For heavy-duty applications, C350, C410-A and C410-B sizes are available by custom order (typical lead time 16–20 weeks).
Outdoor applications

Built to stand outside

Galvanised cantilever racking is designed for outdoor environments, resisting corrosion and weathering over time. All racking quoted for outdoor installation is wind and seismic tested based on the configuration and install location.

To quote an outdoor system accurately, we'll need a few details about the site, these determine your wind region and terrain, which significantly affect the bay load rating.

  • 1Suburb and postcode where the rack will be installed
  • 2Description of the surrounding area (e.g. industrial estate or farmland)
  • 3How far the nearest buildings or trees over 5m are

Ground surface matters: outdoor racking must be installed on concrete, bitumen and gravel aren't suitable. We typically recommend a concrete slab or strip footings with a minimum of 32MPa.

Wind regions follow AS 1170.2:2021 (Structural Design Actions).

Terrain Categories

How surrounding terrain affects wind exposure
1.0
No buildings, development or trees within 200m, flat plane or open field.
2.0
Within 200m of buildings in a rural area containing trees.
2.5
Within 100m of buildings in a developed industrial area, or 50m in a semi-built-up area.
3.0
Within 5m of buildings in a well-developed industrial area.

FAQs

Common questions

What is cantilever racking best used for?
Cantilever racking is designed for long, bulky or awkward products that don't suit standard pallet racking or shelving, timber, steel bar, tube and pipe, aluminium extrusion, plasterboard and sheet, furniture, building materials and oversized items. The open-front design with no vertical obstruction between arms makes loading and unloading long loads easy by forklift, side loader or by hand. It's widely used across warehouses, manufacturing, timber yards and steel suppliers.
Can cantilever racking be installed outdoors?
Yes. For outdoor installs we supply a Hot-Dipped Galvanised finish built to withstand harsh external conditions, offering superior protection against rust and corrosion versus standard powder coating. All outdoor systems are wind and seismic tested for the configuration and location. The ground surface is critical, outdoor racking must be installed on concrete; bitumen and gravel aren't suitable.
What's the difference between single-sided and double-sided?
Single-sided cantilever has arms on one side of the column only, ideal against walls or along a warehouse perimeter. Double-sided has arms on both sides of a central column, roughly doubling capacity on the same structure and ideal for creating picking aisles down the centre of a warehouse.
How is the arm load capacity determined?
Arm capacity depends on arm length, column size and the steel grade in the design. Under FEM 10.2.09, loads must be uniformly distributed (UDL) across the arm to achieve the rating, e.g. a C305 arm rated to 1000kg supports that weight evenly spread. If load is concentrated toward the tip, the safe working load drops significantly, so how you store your product matters when specifying a system.
Can the arms be adjusted?
Yes, all our cantilever systems have fully adjustable arm levels.
  • C200: 100mm hole centres, adjustable in 100mm increments.
  • C305: 76.2mm hole centres, finer adjustment for high-density configurations.
This makes cantilever ideal for products of varying lengths, heights and bundle sizes.
What's the difference between the C200, C305, C350 and C410 profiles?
They differ in load capacity, column size and arm mounting. C200 suits standard industrial storage with 100mm hole centres. The larger C305, C350 and C410 are for heavier-duty applications with 76.2mm hole centres for finer adjustment and higher load performance. Because column sizes and hole patterns differ, arms and accessories aren't interchangeable between the C200 and the larger profiles. The right profile depends on your load, product dimensions and application.
